Addiction and Behaviour Change

I have much experience supporting people when they are motivated to stop smoking, gambling, drinking alcohol and/or taking drugs. I also work with many people who want to achieve other changes, for example, weight loss, taking up exercise or searching for a new job, but find it difficult to see goals through to completion.

Often, the clients I work with have been told they are “lazy” or “unwilling to change”, but I know that exchanging current addictive or routine behaviours and habits is complex and challenging. I have years of experience using Motivational Interviewing and States of Change models to support clients to work toward their desired goals.
